These photos of the Salina Turda Salt Mines in Romania surfaced back in September with the rumor that they’d be used as the filming location for the Batcave in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.  I wanted to post them up here to get your thoughts, and stay tuned for my next feature regarding how Bruce might build a Batcave on the fly in TDKR.

[UPDATE 7/6/2012: Sources have confirmed this about the Batcave in TDKR: “…so everything is hidden underwater. When you enter, it’s just a cave, but you press a button and up come these perfect cubes that hold different objects, from the Batsuit to a supercomputer.”]
