Marvel announces titles of ‘THOR 2’ and ‘CAPTAIN AMERICA 2’ at Comic-Con 2012
Marvel announced the titles of their sequels to Thor and Captain America at Comic-Con 2012, and I can’t say I’m overly excited by either name (maybe for a video game) but at this point it would be asinine of me, and anyone else, to question Marvel’s decision making at this point. After the massive success of The Avengers and the bevy of superhero films that proceeded it, I think Marvel has earned the benefit of the doubt on this one, and the title of the film isn’t going to make or break it at the box office. The title of the Captain America sequel only confirms most people’s suspicions that Cap would be facing off against his old friend, Bucky Barnes, who in the comics becomes the infamous foe known as the Winter Soldier. In Captain America: The First Avenger, Bucky supposedly died falling off a train, so it’ll be interesting to see how Marvel brings him back into the mix in the modern world.
